Initiating Surcharges:The card brand must be notified 30 days in advance of beginning the surcharge. Consult the surcharge rules for each card brand accepted. On the registration forms, it is important that you list: Some states prohibit surcharging. Consult your legal counsel to ensure that you are in compliance with relevant state laws.
